Since February 2010, Bill Horton has kept busy helping people learn strategies to keep as many dollars in their pocket as possible regarding retirement planning. When a person transitions from the Accumulation stage (actively working) to the Preservation and Distribution stage (retirement), many factors need to come into play to ensure the following years of life are enjoyable.
Whether the subject is Medicare, Social Security Maximization, never running out of money, or leaving a legacy to heirs or charity, many moving parts must be considered, as everyone’s needs and goals differ. There is no one-size-fits-all solution.
Bill is the CEO and co-owner of Horton & DeLoach Insurance Brokerage LLC.
“As an independent brokerage, we are able to find any necessary product that will fill a need. If we were limited to just one company, it would be challenging to always work in a client’s best interest. Our flexibility and freedom of choice is vital to a positive planning outcome.”
Bill goes through multiple annual industry certifications to stay on top of changes that affect successful retirement plans. He is just a few months away from completing his RICP (Retirement Income Certified Professional) designation. He also hosts monthly workshops for people who are reaching retirement age and are looking for help answering the question – “What do I do now, and how do I make sure I do it right?”
